BIOGRAPHICAL SYNOPSIS
Farhad Hafezi, graduated from Alborz High School in Tehran in 1971, passed the national universities entrance exam with honor degree (first 20 among 80’000) and entered the Shiraz University medical school (formerly Pahlavi University) in the same year. He received his Medical Doctor degree 1979 with honor, (top ten percent). He attended the Shiraz University department of General surgery for his surgical residency programs and received Board of General surgery in 1987.

His academic achievements placed him in the Iran University of medical sciences as an assistant professor of general surgery. He completed his plastic surgery fellowship at Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Vernon Hospital in London, England. Dr. Hafezi is a board certified Plastic Surgeon, the only plastic surgery certificate recognized by the Board of Medical Specialties at ministry of health. He also has the honor of being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2002 (FACS) and member of American society of plastic surgeons since 2006. Dr. Hafezi has published over 37articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 textbook. He is co-editor and reviewer of several international and domestic journals. Additionally, Dr. Hafezi has been involved in the education of plastic surgery throughout his currier by participating in over 40 presentations at regional and international scientific meetings.

He was elected in 1997 by his peers and colleagues as member of board directory of Iranian society of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons which repeated forfour consecutive periods. Dr. Hafezi was promoted to associate professor in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery on April 2005. Twenty years of extensive work in the field of plastic surgery has allowed Dr. Hafezi to develop an expertise in Rhinoplasty, Facial rejuvenation, Endoscopic Brow lift, Breast modifications, Liposculpture and advanced body contouring techniques.

Dr. Farhad Hafezi is the active plastic surgeon at the Arad general Hospital Tehran, where he not only practices the art of Plastic Surgery but provides advice and guidance to aspiring plastic surgeons. Dr. Hafezi has been a member of the Iran Surgical Society since 1986 and attained Board Certification both in general and Plastic Surgery.
